The celestial bodies in Outer Wilds are subject to various distortions under its influence, which can lead to numerous surprises when returning to previously visited locations. The planets studied by the player may, e.g. be absorbed or disappear altogether. To jazz up our explorations, we are presented with various gadgets and accessories that the main character can use, e.g. to track different signals. The player chooses the tools in the specially designated starting point.
